The project, which includes both onshore and offshore developments, produced 1.7 billion cubic feet a day (bcfpd) of pure natural gas in the first phase. The completion of first phase increased the total gas output of RasGas to 11bcfpd.
ENOC Processing Company operates condensate refinery having two trains (one train for treatment of sour condensate & the other sweet condensate). Condensate feedstock from Qatar, Iran and Australia are processed to produce LPG, naphtha, jet fuel, diesel and fuel oil. Naphtha is exported for petrochemical uses in Asia, and the rest of liquids sold in the domestic market.
The Onshore Gas Development Phase III (OGD-III) Project was designed to process condensate rich gas at Habshan and to produce NGL and condensate. Residue gas is re-injected back into the reservoir for pressure maintenance purposes (gas cycling). Main facilities included two (2) trains each of Inlet Separation, Condensate Stabilization, Gas Treatment and NGL Recovery units.
The new Shah Gas Processing Plant is designed to process 1,000 MMSCFD (gas out of the slug catcher) of Shah Arab sour gas. The plant is located in three adjoining Sabkhas (low flat areas) on the East-Central side of the Shah Field with an East to West span of about 6 km. The layout of the process plant is divided into three different areas: Western, Central and East.
